Marianne Schlegelmilch, One of America’s Most Gifted Writers

The short answer is yes, we publish romance ebooks. For the longer answer, let me tell you about the books of Marianne Schlegelmilch. She is one of our more prolific authors, who lives in the seaside Alaska town of Homer, on Kachemak Bay. (Kachemack Bay has been called one of the most beautiful vistas in the world. People come from all over to take pictures of it.)

Homer has an international reputation as not only a great place to fish for halibut, but also as a place that attracts artists and writers. Maybe it’s something in the air, and that certainly seems to be true for Marianne.

She watches moose in her yard eat her trees from the top down, and snowshoe rabbits eat trees from the bottom up. She loves Alaska and everything in it, and when there was a need to raise funds for the Blood Bank, someone said she should write a children’s book to sell for that endeavor. And by golly, she did.

Her first book, Solo Flite, is the fictional story of a little lost puppy found by Joe Redington Sr., who is known as the founder of the Iditarod Race. Naturally the young dog goes on to learn all there is to know about the Iditarod, as well as about life.

Solo Flitedid so well that Marianne was able to donate a portion of the monies raised to Vi Redington, Joe’s widow, to help Vi on her way to create a museum about dog mushing and her husband’s work.

This true part of the story about that picture book is pretty darn romantic, even for us tough Alaskans, but Marianne went on to write many more books, and she’s not stopping.

She’s published five adult mystery-romance in what she calls the Feather series, which begins with Feather from a Stranger. Marianne’s newest book, Lavender White Arctic Blue, is available on Amazon and everywhere good books are sold. All of Marianne’s adult books are available as romance eBooks <https://amzn.to/2wrEH19>.

If you’ve written a book, if you’re writing a book, if you’re thinking about writing a book, or if you know someone who is writing a book kindly download a free copy of Bringing Your Book to Market: <http://bit.ly/2mhXVBV>. It describes the publishing process.
